Are you looking for a patient schedule template? I think this article has given you a starting point in your quest. You have probably noticed there are many templates that you can download on the internet. While some may be free and some may not, I personally like to use one that is not free and that is an excel workbook. Read on for more reasons why this might be the best thing for your needs.
This patient schedule template has been designed specifically to assist you schedule and then follow up on medical appointments. Start by selecting a start date and time and a period (like 30 minutes or 45 minutes).
How Do you Create A Patient Schedule Template
You need to have Microsoft Word open, so open Ms Word. Click on the Tools menu. Select Time Management. Under the Templates folder, click on the option called “Use Word.” You will then see several different choices, select the one that says “I Use Word for All My Outlook Express Workbooks.”
Let us look at an example of a planned appointment. Once you have determined the start time and the end time you want your patients to arrive at the appointment, right click on the appointment and click Print. You will then be given several choices for the printing options. You can choose Word/PDF, Ink/Toner or Screen Shot. You can also change the information that is printed from the Microsoft Health Manager using the drop down menus.
This next example is how you would write the following sentence in the free MS Word template: “To reschedule appointment letter, you must send the following letter to the person that is affected by the change: Mary Jones’ secretary phone number.” The first thing you need to do is find the contact info for the person that Mary is writing to.
You do this by going to the person’s profile. Once you have found the phone number, just copy and paste the number into the text box on the Reschedule Appointment Letter page. Type the new sentence into the blank text box below this one and then click the Save button. This will display the changes in the schedule for Mary’s appointment.
Here is another example. Write the following sentence in the free MS Word template: “You should reschedule your appointment with Dr. Smith today, at 3 hours ago.” The first thing you want to do is find the event you want to reschedule and double click on it. A menu will appear, choose “Reschedule/Cancel” from the popup menu. Type the new sentence into the text box and then click the “Save” button.
This example also has a sub menu for rescheduling due dates and automatically creates PDF files for those appointments. If you are working with a medical practice that has a tight schedule but a large amount of patients, a quick and easy way to create PDFs of all of the patient’s schedules is to download and open an existing PDF file of the day’s activities from the electronic patient health record (EHR) system. In this case, the PDF would be created in the last three hours of the day when the doctor would make all of his or her appointments.

The last patient schedule example, which comes directly after the second sentence in the above example, deals with an individual who is overdue for a surgical appointment. Instead of typing “You should have your appointment rescheduled at six hours ago,” which looks bad, you could instead type “You should have your scheduled surgery at five mins.”
Again, you would need to go to the calendar tab in the System Tools section of the Office and select ” Estimated Reading Time.” Once there you can type “Three mins.” Finally, this will appear as “You should have your scheduled surgery at six hours ago.”
